This retreat is aimed at those who already use a SAORI loom and who wish to spend a little time weaving a piece of cloth, making a SAORI garment and being inspired by the company of others. I am also happy to welcome complete beginners where you will weave on a pre set loom and create a simple top ready to wear.
Trigonos is the perfect venue nestled by a lake in the heart of the Eryri National Park. Here you have room to breath, space to be, simple but comfortable accommodation, and delicious homegrown, organic, vegetarian food.
This is a time to build confidence, working in your own individual style, following your own creative flow.
We will be using the 5 slogans of SAORI weaving:

- Inspire one another and everyone in the community.
and following the SAORI philosophy that we are all born with creativity and intuition.
The process of making SAORI clothes does not require proficient sewing skills, just simple straight stitch on a sewing machine or sewing by hand.
Bring
- SAORI loom
- spare inside set if you have one
- warping frame if you have one
- Any warping equipment you have ie: cross holder, threading holder, dividing bar, tabletop beaming and threading holder
- threading hook
- reed hook
- strong paper for dividing warp threads when beaming on
- any of your own yarns you would like to use
- shuttles and bobbins
- scissors
- tape measure
- sewing machine (PAT tested if possible)
- suitable sewing thread
- cutting scissors
- pins and clips

I have SAORI looms available for complete beginners.
I will bring cotton yarns for weaving and fibre for inserts and accents but please feel free to bring anything you like to use or to add to your weaving.
