A day of weaving, discussion and sharing.

Bring your own loom and your woven pieces, especially clothing. We aim to have an informal ‘fashion show’ which just means trying on garments and having a lot of fun! Attending a Kai is guaranteed to give you a real boost and an opportunity to meet people you may already ‘know’ through social media. Come and enjoy!
Our venue is totally accessible with plenty of parking and space for all to set up their looms and work throughout the day.

SAORI : SILK Spinning and Weaving Retreat
Unsure about spinning silk? On this retreat you will sample its many forms from the shorter textured noils to the long and lustrous fibres in a silk brick. What are caps and hankies? What is throwsters waste? Master the art of the different methods of spinning all of these.
Weave on soft, matt black cotton warps to make your spun silk ‘pop’. Use supplementary warps, clasped weft, inlay and more.

Set in a peaceful valley in Snowdonia North Wales, Trigonos is a wonderful place to stay, stunning views, comfortable rooms and a welcoming atmosphere.

Anglesey Show
14 – 15 August 2018
The Anglesey Show is an annual 2 day agricultural event at the Mona showground. I will be on stand P50 in the Shopping and Exhibition hall. This is a busy show with a lot to see and do where I hope to meet new people and attract more interest in SAORI.

Pop Up Wool Show

This annual show in Port Sunlight started in 2014 and this will be the first time I have taken a stand. It has a growing reputation for its woolly wonders and I know it will be fun!

This event is at the Pensychnant Nature Conservation Centre and is aimed at all local wool interests, groups and practitioners. Great for networking and being introduced to something new.

Wonderwool Wales
28 – 29 April 2018
This is a regular event of mine. If you are interested in anything woolly and feel like a trip to beautiful Mid Wales then this is a trip not to be missed. Details here. As usual I will have looms to demonstrate plus equipment, yarns and some SAORI clothing for sale.

This event is more of a feast and festival of wool and all things woolly with entertainment for all the family as well as quality producers and suppliers. I will be sharing the stand with Amanda, from BEAUTIFULcloth SAORI studio. As the name implies it is at Penkridge, just off the M6 at junction 13. Find out more here.
